THR reports that Jack Thorne, the British writer who wrote the upcoming Julia Roberts-Jacob Tremblay movie Wonder, has been hired on to re-write the script of Star Wars Episode 9. The movie will be directed by Colin Trevorrow, who also had a hand in working on the most recent draft with his writing partner Derek Connolly.

Marvel and Disney announced yesterday that Ant-Man and the Wasp has officially kicked off its production. To mark the occasion, Marvel released a small behind the scenes video teasing the new logo, while also releasing an official synopsis. Peyton Reed returns to direct with Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly also returning alongside Michael Douglas, Michael Peña, and T.I.

According to THR, Ian McShane has signed on to Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen to play Professor Trevor “Broom” Bruttenholm; a role previously played by John Hurt in Guillermo del Toro’s Hellboy series. Broom is the leader of the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense, or BPRD, and is a father figure to Hellboy after rescuing him back in 1944.

Sony Pictures Classics has released the first trailer for director Luca Guadagnino’s critically acclaimed new drama Call Me by Your Name. The film takes place in 1983 and stars Timothée Chalamet as a precocious 17-year-old American-Italian boy who’s on summer vacation with his family at their Italian villa. When a charming American scholar, played by Armie Hammer, comes to work with the boy’s father, a summer romance sparks that awakens deep feelings between the two.

Lionsgate and Millennium Films released a new poster for Leatherface, the next installment in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise. The new movie takes place years before the events of the first movie, in the early days of the infamous Sawyer family where the youngest child is sentenced to a mental hospital after a suspicious incident leaves the sheriffs’ daughter dead.
